Packet duplication is a constant problem in all large scale data center networks. Redundant copies of packets are recorded from many monitoring points across a network, and can overload network monitoring tools. Eliminating duplicate packets also increases recordable network time, providing greater visibility.

The solution to redundant packets in the network monitoring system is to eliminate copies before they arrive at the monitoring tools. APCON’s IntellaFlex Packet Controller, installed in an APCON IntellaPatch Series 3000 switch, eliminates duplicate packets as they arrive from the monitored network.
