PCI-e Conformance test

We offer automated PCI Express compliance test suites that includes built-in emulation, verification and report generation. SpekChek, a software add-on to the SPX Series of Analyzer/Exercisers, is based on compliance checklists issued by the PCI Special Interest Group (SIG). SpekChek generates a predefined set up and stimulus to a link partner device, and then makes pass/fail decisions based on an expected response, automatically under software control. Once tests are complete, a formatted report is provided to the user, which lists all selected tests, and their pass/fail status. As each test is executed, a protocol capture file (trace view) is saved, as well as the project settings, which include exerciser and capture settings. These archives permit the user to view the exerciser's activities (or even edit them), and the actual response from the device under test to verify the pass/fail report. All files are provided in SPX Analyzer/Exerciser format and can be edited and viewed by this application software.

LeCroy Compliance test suite

LeCroy now offers an integrated and automated compliance testing system for PCI Express root complex and endpoint devices. This test application presents you with full test coverage for both the Link Layer and Transaction Layer as specified by the PCI SIG for add-in-card and system devices. The compliance scripts leverage LeCroy's PETracer/Trainer™ systems (both ML and EML models) to achieve the highest performance possible. Tests are available on the x1, x2, x4, x8, and x16 links.

The Compliance Test Software 2.0 and version 4.6 of the PETracer software is available at no cost to users of the PETracer/Trainer systems.

The PCIe Compliance Test Software allows you to:

Prepare your add-in-card or system board to pass the compliance tests from the PCI-SIG.
Display a log window that shows you the test events leading up to the pass or fail of an individual compliance test.
Identify errors, including type, and shows you where the errors occurs in the trace, and includes hyperlinks back to that trace.
Automatically run tests and save log files.
Error logs and their corresponding failure in the protocol trace are saved together for product development records.
Modify the compliance tests and generate test scenarios through the script editor.

- Verify that the DUT drops any ACK DLLP that does not have a sequence number corresponding to an unacknowledged TLP and logs a BAD DLLP error associated with the port.
