RiskCAT - Standard based Requirement specification

When developing software for embedded systems, using recognised standards can help control the costs of system development and prevent liability claims against the final products. However, identifying and understanding which elements of the standards may be relevant to the project can be a problem. RiskCAT tools automatically generate the requirements of important standards in an understandable and user-oriented way. The requirements can then be developed to provide definition, implementation, advocacy and effective control of quality goals, whether product-specific or as a part of a com pany-wide scheme.

The individual requirements of a customer or manufacturer, which are defined by the intended product or marketing strategy.
(Safety) Standards based requirements, national and international, based on the current state of the art.

RiskCAT, part of the Code Analyzer Tool Set (CATS), is able to capture the standards requirements needed if the design is to achieve the best current technology. By using RiskCAT the standards-based requirements are directly derivied and traceable to the official safety-standard.

Output can then be forwarded to CATS QualiCAT for Evaluation of standard compliance.
